Andros in the UK is a major supplier of ambient fruit-based conserves and chilled yogurts and desserts, with its commercial operations based in Hammersmith dealing directly with all major retailers and sectors within the UK. They acquired in 2008, the Oldford dairy site (Somerset) and heavily invested in new, state-of-the-art, chilled desserts product lines, unique on the market.
The company has experienced rapid growth becoming a top 150 UK food & drink business in 2020. This growth has been driven across both the preserves and desserts categories through the success of the Bonne Maman brand as well as an extensive private label activity. The products are either imported or produced in the dedicated chilled dessert facility in the Southwest of England. There is an ambitious investment plan for the coming years.
Due to growth within in the company, we are looking for an Ambient Demand Planner for our office based in Hammersmith.
Job role
You will be responsible for all aspects of the Ambient Supply Chain, including sales system management, control of third-party logistics, developing relationships with customers, and forecasting. This role requires someone to be able to understand the Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment.
You will be in charge of forecasting and the UK stock management for a factory in Europe. Some other factories will manage directly their stock in the UK depot, you will be able to help them to understand the UK market and provide them with the information that they need and challenge them to achieve their KPI (service level / wastage).
A large part of the role is management of our third-party logistics, arranging delivery schedules and optimizing delivery efficiency to minimise cost.
The main areas of responsibility:
· Forecast accuracy and stock management
· Routine and ad hoc data analysis to support sales & marketing teams
· Communicate with and help Andros factories in Europe, which are working in push flow, to understand the UK market and provide them with information about activities.
· Help to support and manage seasonal uplifts i.e. Pancake Day, promotions
· Liaising with warehouses and customer supply chains
· Sales System management for both Ambient and Chilled order flows
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will either be a graduate, having recently completed a technical degree, or have worked in the reality of retail/logistics.
They should be analytical, detail driven and able to work to challenging deadlines in a changing environment. They should be able to work both independently and with the wider team and business where required. They should be able to build good rapport with supply contacts in order to acquire customer side data.
