Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to H & S rules at all times to ensure safety standards are upheld
  • To follow recipe batch sheets to ensure all stages of production are made to correct company specification
  • To carry out the weighing and mixing of powder ingredients into liquid batches which includes the lifting of 25kg bags and containers whilst ensuring that the product is processed to customer’s specification and within quality standards
  • To run different Process equipment, using a Computer Control System (SCADA)
  • To carry out CIP’s on equipment by selecting the appropriate route and monitoring the cleans using an automatic system
  • To ensure the correct products are supplied to each filling machine as per the overall Production plan
  • To carry out in process quality testing on each batch in order to positively release it to the Filling lines as per recipe specification
  • To complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner in line with each batch processed
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice is applied to ensure high quality finished product

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Ability to follow numerical recipes accurately
  • A good degree of manual strength and physical fitness is required.
  • Ability to operate and understand a computerised control system
  • An analytical mindset to carry out in process Quality testing.
  • Stock Management & Planning & Organisational skills.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with existing procedures
  • Comply with quality standards, whilst showing an ability to understand and recognize where improvements are required
  • Be aware of Food Hygiene and Safety legislation, Food Safety and Factory rules.
  • Understanding of flow mechanics- large pipe routing, pumps, valves and key Dairy equipment such as an Homogeniser, Pasteuriser and Steriliser.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

(6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am)

✔ Night shifts are required

✔ This is a fast-paced, physical production environment
